Originally designed by the Swedish Defense Department, this firesteel will allow you to start a fire in any weather condition.
After preparing dry wood shavings, rub the blade of your knife firmly and slowly across the firesteel at the striker section to produce sparks.
The sparks easily ignite materials such as newspaper, dry grass, dry wood shavings, or MAYA wood, a highly flammable Mexican exotic wood, even when it is wet.
5 models are available:
- Small Model (3,000 strikes) :
- Standard version (bulky handle and paracord lanyard)
- Version with leather lace compatible with the leather range (Wildsteer sheath and leather pouch)
- Version with elastic lace compatible with the Nylon Tech Neck sheath and the KRS. The elastic lace helps to secure the firesteel in the sheath's loop.
- Large Model (12,000 strikes) :
- Version with a scraper that includes a distress whistle.
- Version with elastic lace compatible with the KRS sheath. The elastic lace helps to secure the firesteel in the sheath's loop.
